Last updated 17 September 2026. Tara's Bakes is a registered home bakery in East Float Quay, Birkenhead, Wirral.
This website has a guest checkout and optional user accounts. Orders are stored so we can bake, take payment and hand over your box. Instagram is still available if you prefer to message.
What we receive
When you check out we store your name, email, collection or delivery details, the items, allergen notes and how you chose to pay. If you create an account, Clerk holds your sign-in details. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we do not see full card numbers.
What we do not do
- We do not run ads, analytics pixels or mailing lists on this site.
- We do not sell your details. Payment providers (Stripe or your bank) see what they need to take payment.
- Theme preference (light or dark) is stored only in your browser.
Cookies
No advertising or analytics cookies. Accounts and checkout use essential session cookies from Clerk. Full detail: cookie policy.
How long we keep it
Orders are kept long enough to fulfil the bake, deal with any problem, and meet basic food-traceability records — typically up to 12 months — then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Message @tsbakes_ or use your account. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
